Start a New Tradition with These Thanksgiving Dishes

Nothing quite tops the go-to, tried-and-true Thanksgiving recipes that we’ve all come to make part of our family traditions. However, it doesn’t hurt to try something new!

We’ve compiled a list of recipes that you can use, not only for the upcoming Thanksgiving feast, but for the holiday season, as well. Don’t miss your chance to make your festive table more unique this year!

A Guacamole dish might just be the curveball you’re looking for to surprise your guests this Thanksgiving! With some traditional autumn ingredients like squash and cranberries, the tasty Thanksgiving guac recipe published by Avocados From Mexico can be added to your holiday table for many years ahead!

Mix smashed avocados with diced roasted acorn squash, green apples, cranberries, walnuts, apple cider vinegar, and salt until it’s well combined. Remember to use NatureSeal on all your avocados for longer freshness. You can then cover it in a plastic wrap and chill it until you’re ready to enjoy!

The Holiday Crimson Pear Salad ingredient list compiled by the fantastic Chelan Fresh contains all the hallmarks for any festive holiday dinner. This healthy option for your guests contains cranberry sauce and pears that bring a holiday flavor to a simple side dish!

Make the dressing by blending all the listed ingredients including cranberry sauce, cup orange juice, white wine vinegardijon mustard, chopped shallots, mild tasting oil, teaspoon fresh rosemary leaves, and salt and pepper to taste until they are smooth. After you slice your pears and mix them with the NatureSeal Fresh-Cut Produce Extender, you can create your salad with layers of oranges, goat cheese, nuts, and a sprinkle of pomegranate seeds. With the added dressing, you are all set to enjoy some holiday cheer!

A list of fall-themed dishes is just not complete without some apple recipes in the mix. Many thanks to Turnip the Oven for providing a flavorful Indian Apple Salad recipe that can be made in a few minutes so you can prioritize your more intensive holiday dinner recipes.

The refreshing, vibrant salad contains some tasty ingredients including chopped red onions, radishes, English cucumbers, ripe tomatoes, apples, jalapenos, mint, and parsley. A healthy treat for the whole family!

The versatile avocado can almost fit into your menu at any place, at any time, so why not a thanksgiving dinner table? Martha Stewart published a cranberry avocado salsa that will go great with pita chips before your big dinner!

With sliced avocado and an added long-lasting freshness from the NatureSeal solution, you will whisk together honey and minced jalapeno and chopped red onions. You will then place your avocados, cranberries, and cilantro with the bowl, and adding salt and pepper. With a bit of mixing, you will have yourself a nice dipping option with added pita crisps!

Need a leftover recipe? Here’s another avocado recipe that combines turkey, a staple of every thanksgiving dinner, with a flavorful combo. The Turkey-Taco Stuffed Avocados, provided by Skinny Taste who always publishes daily delicious recipes, can make for a great post-thanksgiving meal.

Halve and pit your avocados with an added NatureSeal to keep the fruit looking deliciously greenHeat a medium skillet over high heat, spray with oil, and add the ground turkey, spices and onion. Spread out the meat with a wooden spoon for about five minutes. You will then add tomato sauce, water and cook, stirring until cooked through for about 6 to 8 minutes. Finally, you will fill each avocado half with turkey, then top with cheese, reserved avocado, and tomato. Get your spoon ready and dig in!

Whichever option you choose this holiday season, you really can’t go wrong!  Every new tradition can start with just trying something different, so be sure to take a chance one recipe at a time.
